Why this policy exists#
AdTomato builds sites and launches ads in your name on third-party platforms. To keep people, the platforms and other clients safe, this policy sets out what you may not do. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
Prohibited products and services#
You may not use the Service to promote, sell or facilitate:
- anything illegal in the country where it is offered or advertised;
- weapons, explosives, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, tobacco or vaping products where they may not be advertised;
- counterfeit goods or anything that infringes another person's intellectual property;
- gambling, lotteries, financial services, investments or cryptoassets without the licences the law requires, and schemes that promise guaranteed or unrealistic returns;
- prescription medicines, medical devices or health claims that are not allowed or not supported by evidence;
- adult sexual content, or any content that sexualises minors;
- surveillance tools, hacking services, fake documents or identities;
- products and services prohibited by the advertising policies of the platform you use.
Prohibited content and practices#
- Misleading or false claims, fake reviews or testimonials, false urgency or scarcity, hidden costs or subscription traps.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, content that promotes violence or discrimination.
- Impersonating a person, brand or organisation, or implying an endorsement that does not exist.
- Ads that break the laws on advertising, consumer protection or labelling in the countries where they are shown.
- Using another person's images, texts or trademarks without permission.
Personal data and messages#
- Collect personal data only with a lawful basis and a clear privacy notice on your site.
- Do not buy, sell or upload lists of personal data you are not allowed to use.
- Do not collect sensitive data (for example health, biometric or financial account data) through the Service.
- Do not send messages people have not agreed to receive where consent is required.
Use of the Service#
- Do not try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or to bypass limits, security or payment.
- Do not overload, scan, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, except as the law expressly allows.
- Do not use the Service to spread malware, phishing or spam.
- Do not resell or share access to the Service without our written permission.
What we do about breaches#
We may remove or refuse content, pause campaigns you run through the Service, limit features, or suspend or close the account, depending on how serious the breach is. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.
